Head coach Willie Fritz said Saturday that Johnson should play a much larger role next week, according to Steve Helwick of SB Nation.
Analysis:Johnson was cleared to play against Central Florida on Saturday after eligibility issues prevented him from suiting up to begin the season. The wideout did not record a statistic, though it is possible the team is easing him into the offense. On a positive note, Fritz's comments indicate that he should see more action in Week 6 against Kansas State. Last season with Houston, he was limited to six games due to a season-ending injury, hauling in 13 receptions for 275 yards and two touchdowns.
