Heintschel (knee) suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:Heinntschel injured his knee Friday, and it appears the MRI has revealed a worst-case scenario for the signal-caller. He finishes 2026 with 1,304 passing yards and a 14:1 TD:INT ratio, leaving a major void under center. Look for Holden Geriner to take over the starting duties for Pitt moving forward.
