Khalaili (hamstring) is uncertain to play Sunday against Ireland, according to Israel manager Ran Ben-Shimon per Rachel Steinberg of PA. "He is with us. We're trying to do whatever we can to prepare him for the game. It looks now like a bad situation, but I will not risk any player. The best players and the healthiest ones will play tomorrow."
Analysis:Khalaili has become a regular on the right side of Crystal Palace's defensive line this season, and his emergence led to the departure of Daniel Munoz, who signed with Nottingham Forest. Khalaili sounds unlikely to play for Israel in the rest of the international window, and his status is worth monitoring for the Oct. 11 match against Nottingham Forest when the Premier League resumes.
