Chaffee scored three goals in AHL Hamilton's 5-2 win over Belleville on Friday.
Analysis:Chaffee's first game in the Islanders' organization was a big one. He helped the Hammers start off their new era in a positive manner following the team's rebrand and relocation from Bridgeport. Chaffee was better than a point-per-game player with AHL Syracuse in 2025-26, so he should be an effective minor-league scorer.
