Heintschel (leg) will not return to Saturday's game against Virginia Tech, Christopher Carter of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Analysis:Heintschel was observed in street clothes while using crutches on the sideline. The sophomore quarterback's status should receive clarity in the coming days. Holden Geriner will fill in during his absence.
