Heintschel exited Friday's game against Virginia Tech and went to the locker room due to a right leg injury, Jim Hammett of 247Sports reports.
Analysis:Heintschel exited the game after a brutal hit on a third down and was helped off the field. The Panthers ran the ball for six straight plays with him sidelined, and it remains to be seen whether he'll be back at some point. Holden Geriner will be under center as long as Heintschel is out.
