James posted a bogey-free, 10-under 61 in the final round of the Biltmore Championship Asheville to finish with a 24-under cumulative score and as the tournament runner-up to winner Jacob Bridgeman.
Analysis:James and Bridgeman tied for the second-best round of the day Sunday behind J.T. Poston (11-under), with Bridgeman coming away with his second win of the 2026 PGA Tour season. James' final round was highlighted by a six-under front nine and three-straight birdies from holes 15 to 17 on the back. He finished the tournament second in SG: Approach, third in SG: OTT, T4 in GIR, T5 in driving accuracy and T8 in birdies made. It was a nice follow-up to his last outing, a solo third performance at the Wyndham Championship in early August. Thanks to his performance in Asheville, James jumped from 108th to 66th in the FedExCup Standings, with the top-100 at the end of the FedExCup Fall keeping their PGA Tour cards for 2027.
