The Lions signed Altmyer to the practice squad Monday.
Analysis:Altmyer appeared in three preseason games for the Lions in 2026, throwing for 271 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions off 29-for-46 passing. While he didn't play the best throughout the preseason, he still did enough to earn a spot on Detroit's practice squad.
