Chilwell (knee) is back with Crystal Palace after spending the last year at French team Strasbourg, according to the club.
Analysis:Chilwell will head back to England on a permanent transfer, hoping to come close to the level he showed for Leicester and Chelsea between 2015 and 2022. However, over a previous stint with the Eagles, the left-back recorded just one goal across eight appearances (one start) in league play. After that, he found more consistency with Strasbourg, assisting twice and tallying 53 clearances, 22 interceptions and 25 tackles in 20 Ligue 1 matches. He's still a decent option to challenge Tyrick Mitchell in the wing-back spot as soon as he recovers from a knee issue.
