The Jets waived Scott (undisclosed) with an injury settlement Tuesday.
Analysis:Scott cleared waivers before reverting to the Jets' injured reserve list and is now a free agent. The former linebacker can now seek out new teams to help out offensively, defensively or most likely on special teams as soon as he regains his health.
