Ferguson (soreness) was working off to the side at Tuesday's practice, Nate Atkins of The Athletic reports.
Analysis:Ferguson is at least healthy enough to avoid being completely shut down from all activities. The second-year tight end has carried plenty of buzz all offseason and has a chance to emerge as Matthew Stafford's third option behind Puka Nacua (groin) and Davante Adams. Los Angeles will make heavy use of its deep stable of tight ends, but Ferguson has the most playmaking ability of the group. Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen (quadriceps) and 2026 second-round pick Max Klare will also be in the mix for reps in two-TE and three-TE formations.
