Analysis:Eshelman has been beaten out by UC Davis transfer Caden Pinnick for the Cougars' leading role to start the season. Luckily for the redshirt freshman, he does look poised to serve as the QB2 in the short term with teammate Julian Dugger dealing with an undisclosed injury.
