Analysis:Earlier this week, it was announced that Brandon had an edge in Tennessee's quarterback competition, so the fact that he won out should not be so surprising. Relying on an unproven quarterback can pose great risk, as there is no baseline for someone who has zero experience at the collegiate level. Nonetheless, having a former top-10 recruit and a five-star freshman is not the worst newcomer to test out, and the Volunteers hope that Brandon can build on his potential early on and break out early.
