Fowler posted a one-under cumulative score at the BMW Championship to finish tied for 37th.
Analysis:Fowler entered the week 30th in the FedExCup Standings, occupying the final spot to qualify for the TOUR Championship. Unfortunately for Fowler, he was unable to hold onto that spot, slipping to 33rd in the Standings after posting a scorecard of 71-69-69-70. He finished the tournament T3 in driving accuracy, T7 in bogeys and top-20 in both SG: Approach and OTT, but he ranked outside the top-40 in both SG: Putting and Around, losing 6.44 strokes collectively across those two categories. Fowler joined Kurt Kitayama and Bud Cauley as the three players who fell out of the top-30 in the Standings and failed to advance to the TOUR Championship, with the trio replaced by Patrick Cantlay, Gary Woodland and Robert MacIntyre.
