Analysis:Cauley entered the week 29th in the FedExCup Standings, with the top-30 players by the end of the BMW Championship qualifying for the TOUR Championship and earning exemptions into all four majors in 2027. Cauley overcame a three-over 73 opening round by going three-under over the next two days, but he could not pull off the surge he needed in the final round, ultimately sliding to 34th in the Standings. His 11 birdies ranked 48th in the field in St. Louis, and he also ranked outside the top-40 in SG: OTT and Approach, GIR, driving distance and driving accuracy. Since he won't tee off at next week's TOUR Championship, Cauley's next chance to play on the PGA Tour is Sept. 17 at the Biltmore Championship Asheville.
