Scheffler carded a two-under 68 in the final round of the BMW Championship to finish in a four-way tie for 12th.
Analysis:Scheffler entered the week as the defending champion and on the heels of an eight-stroke victory at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. However, he simply wasn't his best in St. Louis, opening the tournament with four bogeys over his first seven holes Thursday, ending the day with a two-over 72 score. Scheffler bounced back Friday with a five-under 65 and secured a top-15 finish thanks to back-to-back, two-under 68 rounds over the weekend. The World No. 1's short game was on full display at Bellerive Country Club, as he led the field with 4.22 strokes gained around the green. He also finished T6 in birdies, T13 in driving distance and 18th in SG: OTT. Up next is the TOUR Championship, which Scheffler won in 2024 and finished T4 last year.
