The Commanders released Ford (hamstring) on an injury settlement Sunday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Analysis:Washington previously placed Ford on injured reserve Tuesday due to an undisclosed issue, which John Keim of ESPN.com relays was a hamstring injury. The running back would have had to miss the entire season had he remained on injured reserve, but after reaching an injury settlement with Washington, he's now free to sign with a team once he's fully healthy. Ford spent the 2025 campaign with the Browns, appearing in 13 games and carrying 24 times for 73 yards (3.0 average) to go with 26 catches for 103 yards.
