McNealy posted a 10-under cumulative score at the BMW Championship to finish tied with Robert MacIntyre for seventh.
Analysis:McNealy entered the week 49th in the FedExCup Standings, and he needed a big performance in St. Louis in order to qualify for the TOUR Championship. He played well at Bellerive Country Club and shot under par in all four of his rounds, with his four-under 66 second round being his best of the tournament. He was the only player in the field to card two eagles and was excellent with his putter, ranking second SG: Putting (plus-5.44 strokes). Despite his best efforts, McNealy rose only seven spots to 42nd in the Standings, eliminating him from FedExCup Playoff contention. His next chance to tee off at a PGA Tour event is Sept. 17 at the Biltmore Championship Asheville.
