Eintracht Frankfurt scored a record 10 goals by half-time against fifth-tier St. Tonis before winning the German Cup first round tie 11-0 on Friday.

In Frankfurt's first competitive match under returning coach Adi Huetter, they were in complete control against the amateur side as they bounced back from a 7-0 drubbing at the hands of Brentford in a friendly in London last Saturday.

The victory was five-time champions Frankfurt's biggest ever German Cup victory, the biggest win for any side since 2021 and the 10-0 halftime score was the highest in the 84-year history of the competition.

Germany striker Jonathan Burkardt scored a hat-trick, Can Uzun hit a brace while Robin Koch, Ayoube Amaimouni, Elias Baum, Younes Ebnoutalib and Mario Götze all scored in the first half, with Fares Chaibi adding an 11th late in the second period.

Later on Friday, 2025 winners Stuttgart take on third-division Hansa Rostock.
