Brennan won the Wyndham Championship by three strokes following a six-under 64 final round.
Analysis:Brennan saw his score steadily improve over the first three days at Sedgefield Country Club, and he used a seven-under 63 third round to enter Sunday tied with Beau Hossler at the top of the leaderboard. Brennan separated himself from Hossler with five-straight birdies from holes four to eight, with his tee shot on the par-3 seventh coming within a foot of a hole-in-one. Brennan rebounded from a bogey on the 11th with a birdie on the 13th and ended his tournament with another birdie on the difficult par-4 18th. His short game wasn't his best, but he led the field in birdies and bogeys and finished the tournament second in SG: Putting, third in both GIR and SG: Off-the-Tee, ninth in driving distance, 11th in SG: Approach and T23 in driving accuracy. It was the second PGA Tour victory of Brennan's career, earning him an exemption into the 2027 Masters. Importantly for Brennan, the win catapulted him from 105th to 47th in the FedExCup Standings to earn himself a spot in the playoffs, which starts next week at the St. Jude Championship. If he stays in the top-50 after the playoff opener, then he would qualify for the BMW Championship and earn an exemption into all Signature Events in 2027.
