Eva Olid was named as the new head coach of Women's Super League side Manchester United on Wednesday, replacing Marc Skinner.
Olid left Hearts after guiding the club to their first Scottish Women's Premier League title in May.
The 40-year-old Spaniard has signed a two-year contract at United, with the option of a further season.
Skinner, who won the Women's FA Cup in 2024, left United by mutual consent on Monday after five years in charge.
"The opportunity to become head coach of Manchester United Women is a dream come true," said Olid.
"The club has outstanding infrastructure and everything we need to achieve our ambitions.
"There is already so much talent within our squad and I am excited to work with the players to support them to fulfil their immense potential."
United finished fourth in the Women's Super League last season and reached the Champions League quarter-finals.
They launch their WSL season at London City Lionesses on September 4.
