Jarvis carded a bogey-free, four-under 66 in the final round of The Open Championship to finish tied with Si Woo Kim and Lucas Herbert for sixth.
Analysis:Jarvis opened the tournament with a three-over 73, but he proceeded to shoot nine-under over the next 54 holes, with Sunday's round being his best at Royal Birkdale. He didn't have his best stuff on the tee box, connecting on just 46.4 percent of fairways, but he still ranked 10th in SG: Tee-to-Green and in the top-25 in GIR and SG: Off-the-Tee and Around. Jarvis' performance at Royal Birkdale is a huge confidence boost for the South African, especially since he entered the week without a top-20 finish since his T13 at the Hero Indian Open on the DP World Tour in late March. He still sits fourth in the Race to Dubai Rankings thanks to his two DP World Tour victories, and entering the last stretch of the season, it should be enough for him to earn a PGA Tour membership for 2027. The next DP Tour event kicks off Aug. 13 at the Danish Golf Championship.
