Patrick Reed: Share of 13th in Scotland

Rotowire ·

Reed carded a two-under 68 in the final round of the Genesis Scottish Open to finish tied for 13th.

Analysis:

Reed shot two-under par or better in each of his four rounds in what was his debut appearance at The Renaissance Club. As expected, most of his success was due to his play around and on the green, as he ranked ninth in SG: Around and 13th in SG: Putting. He had less success off the tee, as he lost 0.97 strokes in that category while ranking T41 in driving accuracy and 59th in driving distance. Reed has spent most of the 2026 season on the DP World Tour after leaving LIV Golf in January, and he's atop the Race to Dubai Rankings thanks to his wins at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic and Qatar Masters, which puts the 2018 Masters champion on track to rejoin the PGA Tour for 2027. Reed will tee off next week at The Open Championship, where he missed the cut last year at Royal Portrush and in 2017 at Royal Birkdale, the latter of which will serve host to golf's oldest major this year.
