Joyner (knee) is probable for Texas Tech's season opener Sept. 5 against Abilene Christian, Jarrett Ramirez of On3.com reports.
Analysis:Big 12 Media Days continued Tuesday, and Texas Tech's head coach Joey McGuire received questions, one of their subjects about the injured Joyner. McGuire was asked how soon Joyner would become available. "Week one," the head coach said. "I expect him really right off the bat being ready to go." The development is big news, considering just how excellent Joyner was before his injured knee rendered him out for all of 2025.
