The Mets designated Carrillo for assignment Tuesday.
Analysis:Carrillo has spent the entire season at Triple-A Syracuse, turning in a 5.57 ERA and 2.10 WHIP alongside a 31:26 K:BB across 21 innings. He'll now be stripped of his 40-man roster spot to make room for Jorge Polanco's (Achilles) return from the 60-day injured list. Assuming Carrillo clears waivers, he'll likely remain an organizational depth piece for the remainder of the year.
