Mukasa joined City's academy in 2023 and has progressed rapidly through the ranks, making six first-team appearances this season including starts in the Carabao Cup against Swansea City and Brentford. He also gained valuable experience on loan at Leicester City in the second half of the season, contributing two goals and three assists across 15 Championship appearances. The 18-year-old England youth international had previously recorded an impressive 16 goals and 15 assists in 20 Premier League under-18 matches before breaking into the senior setup. Sporting director Hugo Viana described him as a player with immense potential whose work ethic, humility and desire to learn make him an ideal profile for the club's long-term plans, with the extension securing one of City's most exciting young midfielders for at least four more seasons.
