Williams, a 6-foot-2 215-pound guard, will join the Terrapins and suit up as a linebacker this fall. The junior, who started his college basketball career at Vanderbilt, averaged two points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists on 10.6 minutes per game with Rice this past season (13 games). Maryland head football coach Mike Locksley spoke to Williams' quickness and burst as something they were looking to add to their outside linebacker room.
