Armitage fired a five-under 66 in the final round of the Soudal Open on the DP World Tour to finish in a six-way share for second and two strokes back of winner Richard Sterne.
Analysis:Armitage surged to his third top-3 finish of the season after carding three-straight birdies across the last three holes of the final round. He ranked fifth in par-4 scoring, 15th in par-3 scoring and in the top-30 in both SG: Approach and SG: Tee-to-Green. Armitage is listed in the field for the Austrian Alpine Open next week.
