Scott fired a bogey-free, eight-under 64 score during the final round of the Cadillac Championship to finish tied with Sepp Straka and Si Woo Kim for fourth.
Analysis:
The last time Scott teed off at Trump National Doral was in 2016, when he won the World Golf Championships - Cadillac Championship. It looked like the Blue Monster was set to eat up the Australian after he posted a four-over 76 score Thursday, but he certainly tamed the course over the weekend, carding 14 birides without dropping a shot over that span. Scott struggled off the tee and with his putter, but his SG: Approach of 6.48 led the field in Miami. He also co-led the field in GIR while ranking T4 in birdies made, fifth in SG: Around-the-Green and 18th in driving distance. It was his second top-5 finish of the season, and Scott will look to bring that momentum into the Truist Championship next week. The last time Scott teed off at Quail Hollow was in 2017, when he finished 61st in the PGA Championship.
