Jon Rahm: Victorious at LIV Golf Mexico City
Rahm posted a bogey-free, seven-under 64 in the final round of LIV Golf Mexico City, resulting in a 21-under cumulative score to win the tournament by six strokes over David Puig.
Analysis:
Rahm led for the majority of the tournament and entered Sunday with a two-stroke lead. That lead quickly grew after the Legion XIII captain went five-under through the first five holes of the final round, highlighted by an eagle on the par-4 third hole. That was more than enough for Rahm to coast to his second LIV Golf victory of the season and fourth of his career. His efforts, combined with Tyrrell Hatton (T5), Tom McKibbin (T5) were enough for Rahm's Legion XIII squad to come away with their first team win of the season, beating Sergio Garcia's Fireballs GC by nine strokes. It was a nice bounce-back performance from Rahm after a disappointing T38 finish at The Masters last week. He sits comfortably at the top of the LIV Golf season standings, and he is well on his way toward a three-peat of the Individual Championship. Rahm's next appearance will be at LIV Golf Virginia on May 7, where he finished T8 in 2025.
