23-year-old Ryan Riess wins the World Series of Poker main event
Ryan Riess has won The World Series of Poker main event, as the 23-year-old took home the $8.4 million prize over Jay Farbar.

The native of East Lansing, Michigan, beat out a field of 6,352 entrants in the no-limit Texas Hold 'em tournament back in July. Riess eliminated the four competitors on Monday, before winning it all late Tuesday night in Las Vegas.
"Everything played pretty standard. No one had a huge blow-up and bluffed off their whole stack. Everyone was playing really solid and the cards ran my way today," he said.
