A majority of Americans are throwing their support behind the Indiana Pacers in this year's NBA conference finals, according to new X data.
A map created by BetOnline.ag based on over 130,000 geotagged tweets sent out since the conference finals matchups were set Sunday shows the Pacers are favored in 20 states across the U.S.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are the second-most-popular team to root for with 14 states, followed by the Oklahoma City Thunder with 10 states and the New York Knicks with six states.
This is the second consecutive season that the Pacers have advanced to the Eastern Conference finals. Game 1 of their series against the Knicks is set for Wednesday, while the Timberwolves and Thunder will kick off their series Tuesday night.
