Eagles rookie Keegan: The Linc is louder than Michigan's Big House
Philadelphia Eagles rookie offensive lineman Trevor Keegan has yet to play an NFL game at Lincoln Financial Field, but he's already impressed by the crowd noise there.
Keegan noted that the Eagles' stadium was louder during last Thursday's open practice with 50,000 fans than Michigan's Big House, where he played college football.
"I remember walking out there (at the Linc), and they're introducing all the guys, I'm like, 'Holy (bleep), this so cool,'" Keegan said, according to Ed Kracz of Sports Illustrated. "It was louder than Michigan Stadium with those 50,000 people. It was rocking. I got little goosebumps. It was cool."
The Big House is the largest stadium in college football with a capacity of 107,601, while the Linc seats 69,879.
"I've learned that ever since I got here, and you just hear about it every day, how passionate the fans are for this team and the rest of the sports teams," Keegan said of Philadelphia. "It's awesome. Blue-collar, hard-working people that sports brings all together. It's one of the coolest things. You can feel it from the fans. I got goosebumps (Thursday). It was so cool. I was so excited, and I'm excited for the season."
Keegan, who was selected in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, clarified Monday on X that he meant no disrespect to Michigan or its fans.
The Eagles will kick off their regular season Sept. 6 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, against the Green Bay Packers before returning home to host the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football.
