Report: Marlins open to trading Chisholm
The Miami Marlins are open to trading outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr., sources told MLB Network's Jon Morosi.
Chisholm is under club control for an additional two seasons beyond 2024 and is scheduled to hit free agency at the conclusion of the 2026 campaign.
The 26-year-old owns a .255/.326/.407 slash line with 10 home runs, 40 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases in 87 games for the Marlins this season. Chisholm hasn't been quite as good defensively in center field as he was in 2023, but he still grades out as a slightly above-average defender.
Chisholm has dealt with injuries throughout his career, making 100 or more appearances in a campaign just once. Chisholm's best season came in 2022 when he posted a .860 OPS with 14 home runs in 60 games and earned an All-Star nod.
