Vince Carter never faced Michael Jordan in the Slam Dunk contest, but he's confident he would've come out on top if he had.

"I'm winning," Carter told Bleacher Report's Taylor Rooks while discussing a hypothetical dunk contest showdown between him and Jordan. "I don't know how, I'm winning. ... It would be fun because MJ's gonna put up a fight, and I know I would have to bring it. Just like with Kobe, Dr. J - the greats of the game in dunking, I would love to have been or had the opportunity to dunk against those guys."

Carter put on one of the most memorable performances in the dunk contest's history at the 2000 NBA All-Star Weekend in Oakland, beating out his then-Toronto Raptors teammate Tracy McGrady and the Houston Rockets' Steve Francis.

Jordan won back-to-back dunk contests in 1987 and 1988, the latter featuring a legendary duel between him and Dominique Wilkins.

Carter pointed to Jordan's competitiveness when asked why he's so confident he could beat Jordan.

"You better be confident because if they see weakness - that's what's so great about those guys is if MJ, Kobe, and LeBron as well, they see weakness, they're gonna expose you," Carter said. "Knowing Mike, we all know Mike now. I don't care what it is we're playing, you flipping quarters, he's gonna go at it, and he's gonna push you, and he's trying to win. And I feel confident stepping on the floor against whoever in that arena."
