Report: LeBron, Tatum, Butler, more to star in Netflix NBA docuseries
Several big names are set to appear in the NBA version of Netflix's hit documentary series "Quarterback."
The Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James, Boston Celtics' Jayson Tatum, Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler, Minnesota Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards, and Sacramento Kings' Domantas Sabonis will star in the first season of the series, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. Filming has reportedly already begun.
It was first reported in October that James' SpringHill Company was teaming up with Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions and Barack and Michelle Obama's Higher Ground to produce a docuseries following NBA players.
The series is modeled after "Quarterback," which provided a behind-the-scenes look at three NFL quarterbacks during the 2022-23 season.
Manning, who's also an executive producer on "Quarterback," told The Hollywood Reporter's Julian Sancton in September that he was having trouble finding quarterbacks to appear on the show's second season, as multiple players turned down the opportunity.
