A Lil Wayne-Kevin Durant collaboration could make its way onto a future "Carter" album.

Wayne recently sat down with Bleacher Report's Taylor Rooks, who asked the rapper on Durant's behalf if he planned to drop a snippet of the song they recorded together. Wayne confirmed he did team up with the Phoenix Suns star on a yet-to-be-released track, but said it was supposed to be kept under wraps for now.

"KD, you messed up," Wayne said. "Now that you've done that, I just want you to know you messed up, and that song was being considered to be on 'Carter VI.' And now, since you're saying something, it's not going on 'Carter (VI).'"

Wayne said he initially was going to include the song on "Welcome 2 Collegrove," the collaborative album he released with 2 Chainz in November, but he's saving it for another project.

When asked what Durant is like as an artist, Wayne responded, "KD's a jewel, like something of the past, because he's a backpack rapper. I can imagine he probably could call a timeout in a game, and probably ask him to rap and he probably got a verse for you."

Durant has also been dipping his toes into music production, having served as an A&R (artist and repertoire) on Drake's eighth studio album "For All the Dogs."
