Cowboys' Lamb thinks about breaking Irvin's records 'a lot'
Dallas Cowboys star wideout CeeDee Lamb has Michael Irvin's single-season receiving records in his sights.
Speaking ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Carolina Panthers, Lamb admitted that he often thinks about breaking the Hall of Famer's records this season.
"A lot," Lamb said, according to Nick Harris of DallasCowboys.com. "That's not necessarily my focus, but at the end of it all, that's definitely something that I try to be on top of."
Irvin holds the Cowboys' single-season records for receptions (111) and yards (1,603), both set in 1995.
Through nine games this season, Lamb has 68 receptions for 975 yards and four touchdowns. He also set an NFL record with three consecutive games of at least 10 catches and 150-plus receiving yards.
"It's very meaningful," Lamb said of his record-setting play as of late. "It obviously means I'm doing something correct and all of the hard work is paying off, but the hard work still isn't done."
