The Dallas Stars are gaining plenty of supporters across the United States as they prepare for Game 1 of the Western Conference Final.
A map created by Betonline.ag based on geotagged Twitter data gathered since Monday, including over 80,000 tweets, shows the Stars are the fan favorites in this year's NHL conference finals with 23 states rooting for them to win their series.
The Stars' opponent, the Vegas Golden Knights, is the second-most popular pick with 18 states, followed by the Carolina Hurricanes with five states and Florida Panthers with four.
The Stars last advanced to the Stanley Cup Final in 2020, when they lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games.
