Paul George is rooting for former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Russell Westbrook to capture his first NBA championship.

The Los Angeles Clippers star told reporters during Saturday's All-Star media availability that outside of himself, Westbrook is the player he would most like to see win a title.

"Just as much as he's been through, as much they paint the picture of him, he is absolutely one of the best dudes, one of the best people in the league, and it'd be nice to see him get a ring," George said.

George and Westbrook played together for two seasons in Oklahoma City from 2017-19, both of which ended with the Thunder eliminated in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

The Los Angeles Lakers dealt Westbrook to the Jazz ahead of the NBA's trade deadline, but he has yet to suit up for Utah and has been permitted to speak to other teams. The Clippers are reportedly among the clubs in contact with the nine-time All-Star.
