The Nashville Predators signed defenseman Dante Fabbro to a one-year contract extension worth $2.5 million, the team announced Friday.
Fabbro was set to hit restricted free agency this summer. His current deal is a two-year pact at $2.4 million per season.
The 24-year-old was rumored to be involved in trade talks leading up to the deadline as the Predators were among the league's most active sellers.
Fabbro was the 17th overall pick in 2016. He's managed 56 points in 230 career games, including one goal and seven assists this season while averaging 16 minutes per night.
