Eagles' Sanders gets love from Adam Sandler after 'Waterboy' impression

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders caught the attention of Adam Sandler with his performance against the New York Giants on Sunday.

Sanders, who was mic'd-up for the game, channeled Sandler's character Bobby Boucher from the 1998 comedy "The Waterboy" while making a block for Jalen Hurts.

"I had a plan to yell like 'The Waterboy' 'cause I was mic'd-up today," Sanders told reporters after the game. "I hope y'all hear it."

Sandler did hear it, and he showed Sanders some love on Twitter.

Sanders led the Eagles with 144 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries in their 48-22 win over the Giants. The 25-year-old has a career-high 1,068 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns through 13 games this season.
