Tom Brady is still holding out hope that Rob Gronkowski will come out of retirement again.
On the latest episode of his "Let's Go!" podcast, Brady joked he tried to convince the tight end to return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, specifically, for their Week 10 matchup in Germany.
"I heard the only thing you're allowed to drink on the sidelines at these German games is beer," Brady said. "Whoever thought, these huge steins of beer, of German lager. I actually tried to recruit Gronk back just for this game in particular. Hopefully, he goes for it."
The Buccaneers will face the Seattle Seahawks at Allianz Arena in Munich on Sunday as part of the NFL International Series. It will be the first time an NFL regular-season game is played in Germany.
Gronkowski retired for a second time following last season. He stated in July that he has no intention of returning to football, even if Brady comes calling again.
The Bucs currently sit atop the NFC South with a 4-5 record.
