NFL sets new record for close games in Week 4

The NFL's latest slate of games featured a record number of close scores in the fourth quarter.
Fifteen of the 16 games played in Week 4 had a one-score difference at some point during the fourth quarter, which marks a new record for the NFL, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
It's not just Week 4 that's seen a wealth of close games. Florio notes that 50 of 64 contests through the first four weeks of the 2022 NFL season have been one-score affairs in the fourth quarter - another record.
There has been widespread parity in the standings so far this season, too, with 15 of 32 franchises currently sitting 2-2. The Philadelphia Eagles are the only undefeated team entering Week 5.
