Tom Brady denies he was away filming "The Masked Singer" during his hiatus from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last month.

The quarterback responded to rumors of him appearing on the reality singing competition series Monday on his SiriusXM podcast "Let's Go!" with Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray.

"I don't know where they get all these things. They gotta talk about something," Brady said. "Wasn't me. I wasn't masked, and I'm not a singer. So, that wouldn't really fit my profile.

"I'm basically good at one thing, which is throwing passes. Other than that, I'm basically worthless."

Jenny McCarthy, one of the judges on "The Masked Singer," was asked about the rumors of Brady being a contestant during a recent appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen." She wouldn't confirm nor deny the rumors, only saying "it's probably a really good idea" people tune into the show to find out.

Several athletes have appeared on "The Masked Singer" over the course of the show's seven seasons, including Brady's former teammates Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown. Season 8 premieres Sept. 21.
