If D'Angelo Russell ever decides to enter the boxing ring, his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Nick Young will be first in line to face him.

Young named Russell as the NBA player he'd like to get in a ring with during a recent appearance on the "Boxing with Chris Mannix" podcast.

"D-Lo. D'Angelo," Young said before adding, "Some guys on the Warriors. Some guys on the Lakers. Couple of coaches."

Russell famously recorded Young admitting to cheating on his then-fiancee rapper Iggy Azalea during the 2015-16 season while they were both with L.A. The video subsequently leaked and reportedly created tension in the Lakers locker room.

Young last played in the NBA in 2018 and has since taken up boxing. He's set to face rapper Blueface on the undercard of YouTuber Austin McBroom's Sept. 10 match against AnEsonGib.

Russell is entering his eighth season in the NBA and fourth with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
