LeBron: Ankle injury sustained in loss to Pelicans is 'horrible right now'
Not only did the Los Angeles Lakers drop a crucial game to the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night, but the team could be dealing with an ankle injury to star LeBron James.
James limped to the podium with his ankle heavily taped after the Lakers' 116-108 loss.
"(It's) horrible right now," he said, according to Lakers Nation's Ryan Ward. He added that he had no idea how he finished the contest.
The injury occurred in the second quarter when James stepped on Pelicans big man Jaxson Hayes' foot and rolled his ankle.

Despite his pain, James said he hopes he won't be sidelined and that missing games isn't in his "makeup," according to Ward.
The Lakers' loss moves them from ninth to 10th place in the West. They're just one game ahead of the San Antonio Spurs in the final play-in spot with eight games remaining, so James may have no choice but to suit up to save the team's playoff hopes.
