Michael Bradley is synonymous with Toronto FC.

The 34-year-old American international has captained Toronto since 2015, joining the club and MLS from AS Roma the year prior. Bradley ranks third all time in appearances by a Reds player (246) and is tied for first in playoff appearances (17).

While Toronto has fielded more singularly talented players - think Sebastian Giovinco and Jozy Altidore - it's Bradley who represents the heart and soul of the team. Bradley will be remembered for captaining Toronto to its 2017 MLS Cup win over the Seattle Sounders, and a historic, domestic treble in the process. That title came after the club's soul-crushing defeat to the Sounders in a penalty shootout at home in the 2016 final.

"This has been the dream for four years since the day I got here," Bradley said in an emotional postgame interview after his team won the Cup at BMO Field. "And for the last year, the dream has become an obsession. And for this group of guys to work every single day, having to remember last year, to get back here and to play that game in this atmosphere with that on the line ... it's unbelievable."

Some players have their foot on the ball for an instant and become heroes. Others dominate the game in the middle, leaving their mark throughout the 90 minutes. For Toronto FC, Bradley has left his mark all over the organization.
