Arsenal have completed the signing of goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale from Sheffield United, the club announced Friday.

The England international joins the Gunners on a deal reportedly worth an initial £24 million, plus £6 million in add-ons.

Ramsdale has signed a long-term contract, with reports suggesting his deal will run until 2025 with an option for a fifth year.

The 23-year-old trained with the squad Friday and is expected to be available for Sunday's match against Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.

Ramsdale previously played at Bournemouth before joining Sheffield United last summer for £18.5 million.

He's expected to provide cover and competition for Arsenal's current No. 1, Bernd Leno.

Ramsdale is Arsenal's second signing of the day after the club unveiled midfielder Martin Odegaard earlier Friday. The Norwegian joined the team from Real Madrid for a reported fee of £34 million.

Arsenal completed deals for Ben White, Albert Sambi Lokonga, and Nuno Tavares earlier this summer.
