While Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has become stricter about his health in recent years, it doesn't sound like he'll be adopting the TB12 method.

The 39-year-old Roethlisberger spoke about his diet in an interview with Mark Maske of the Washington Post and noted that he doesn't share Tom Brady's love of avocado ice cream.

"I mean, listen, as you get older - for the last four or five years, I've really focused on having a trainer, my body," Roethlisberger said. "Part of it's football. But part of it's life. I'm not getting any younger. I'm almost 40 years old. So you've got to take care of yourself.

"And nothing against Tom, but I'm not eating avocado ice cream. Yeah, you have a chef, and you try and eat healthy. But you're eating healthy because you want to be and feel good."

He also addressed his seemingly slimmer look at training camp, joking, "I just wear tighter shirts."

Roethlisberger is entering his 18th and what could be his final NFL season after agreeing to a $5-million pay cut to help the Steelers' cap situation.
